ROTARY SLIPS

DRILL PIPE SLIPS –Type SD

  • Drill Pipe Slips, Type-SD can handle drill pipes from 2.3/8” to 7”.
  • They are classified as type Short (SDS), Medium (SDML) and Large (SDXL) according to the gripping length.
  • SDS slips are designed for shallow hole drilling. Pipe size range: 2.3/8” to 5”
  • SDML slips are perfect choice for medium depth drilling. Pipe size range: 2.3/8” to 5.1/2”
  • SDXL slips are for deep drilling. Pipe size range: 3.1/2” to 7”

DRILL COLLARS SLIPS –Type DCS

  • Drill Collar Slips, Type-DCS can handle drill collars from 3” to 14”.
  • The handling sizes can be adjusted by changing the quantity of inserts or slip body.
  • They are classified as three types – DCS-S, DCS-R and DCS-L.
  • DCS-S slips are designed pipe size range: 3” to 4.7/8”
  • DCS-R slips are designed pipe size range: 4.1/2” to 7”
